Grade 2 This Piece For Middle School Students Features A Musical Portrait Of Pirates And Crashing Waves. The 6/8 A Section Is In D Major, Featuring Hooked Bowings And Good Arpeggio Exercises. The B Section, In 2/4 And D Minor With Melody Initially In The Low Strings, Has The Character Of A Sea Chantey. It Can Be Played All In First Position And Will Require Extensions To C Sharp For Upper Strings And Cello.
